What is taking place in American politics today is NOT an aberration—though so many Liberals wish to believe it so.
I understand why they remain in denial. I, too, grew up drinking the Kool-Aid. But, in my early 30s, I began to sober up.
Observing how our winner-take-all economic system had co-opted our politics, I had a Rilke moment ("Archaic Torso of Apollo"): a voice inside my head said, "You must change your life."
